Wireline ordering, supported in Asignet’s Service Catalog module, provides a single source for all your MACD ordering needs and helps streamline inventory management processes. The ordering in the platform provides you:
Simple & configurable order steps for the user.
Unique approval workflow for different order types, vendors, etc.
Order progress visible in the platform at any time, along with email notifications for key progress milestones.
Understanding the ordering lifecycle in the platform
Using our Wireline Ordering module requires you to have an establish inventory in the platform and to engage in a small implementation to:
Configure the order's steps
Apply approval workflows
Ensure orders are submitted to the appropriate vendors contacts
Once the Wireline Ordering module has been implemented, your team will be able to place orders & quotes for MACD activity. General workflow includes:
The order is created on the platform and submitted for processing.
If no approval is required, the platform workflow submits the order to the vendor via email for processing.
If approval is required, the platform workflow sends the order to the approver (s) queue for review. Upon approval, the order is sent to the vendor via email for processing.
The vendor provides order fulfillment details for data capture in the platform until the order is completed.
Getting to know the Service Catalog module
The main portion of the module refreshes based on the panel widget you select. The default panel is set to User and the data will refresh based on the panel you select: User, Service Catalog, Quote Tracking, and Order Tracking.
User
This panel displays the name and login information for the user.
Service Catalog
The Service Catalog panel manages requests for services using wireline provisioning. Authorized users can leverage user profiles, structured workflows, and a configurable approval process to initiate service requests. The service catalog can be customized to match business needs and automate transactions, including placing security measures to control what services a user can order.
Quote Tracking
The Quote Tracking page shows the list and status of quote requests.
Order Tracking
The Order Tracking panel shows the list and status of order requests.
